DIMENSIONS OF THE SERVICE
The Coating Inspector is based in Onne yard in Port Harcourt and is working on 2/2 rotation mode.
The SERVICE holder monitors all aspects of Quality Control relative to anticorrosion coating and insulation during the qualification tests, pre-production tests and production to ensure adherence to the technical requirements and applicable codes. As such the SERVICE holder:
Ensure the supervision with respect to HSEQ objectives the coating activities carried out in Nigeria in the PCNL yard for the coating of 59 km of pipes (3LPP), 42 km of pipes (5LPP) and the coating of FLET,/ITA’s structures and spools.
Ensure that COMPANY HSE Policy and Requirements are permanently implemented.
Ensure that the quality requirements relating to 3LPP and 5LPP coatings are continuously met by PCNL.
Verify that the applicable revisions of documents are displayed at work stations (plant and laboratory).
Witness incoming tests on raw materials (abrasive, FBE, adhesive, syntactic matrix, polypropylene) according to approved ITP and manufacturer certificate of analysis.
Verify the traceability of raw materials batch numbers and expiry dates.
Verify that calibration of inspection and testing device is permanently updated and maintained.
Witness process on line parameters verification and recording.
Verify all coating/insulation is applied in accordance to the applicable ITPs and Specifications.
Witness on line tests on a daily basis to ensure that ITP requirements are permanently met.
Attend to offline test on a daily basis to ensure that ITP requirements are permanently met.
Ensure that online and offline inspection and testing are performed according to applicable standard or internal procedures.
Verify that the samples dedicated to testing are prepared according to applicable standards.
Witness the final inspection station to ensure that the ITP requirements are permanently met.
Verify that stripping and repairs are implemented according to approved procedures.
Witness the handling and storage of bare and coated pipes.
Verify that the loading in of bare pipes and load out of coated pipes is implemented according to approved procedures.
Verify that pipe tracking system is permanently fed and maintained.
Review the daily inspection and testing reports.
Report any product non conformances to the Site Representative.
Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems.
Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed
Attend daily production meeting and adjust QC supervision accordingly, weekly project site meeting, monthly progress meeting as necessary and any PCNL related meeting organized by the Project Team.
Contribute to meet UFR HSE objectives and ensure all HSE issues are properly addressed and monitored by the PCNL team.
Identify and report any non conformances relating to HSE issues.
Ensure immediate reporting of any HSE incident occurring on site.
Attend to site HSE meeting or HSE site walk organized by PCNL / SCNL
Follow up of HSE corrective actions implemented by PCNL / SCNL.
Report on HSE issue (daily, weekly and monthly reports).
Attend to Tool Box Talks / Meetings at random.
Directly responsible within the respect of HSE rules and the Quality Control relative to 3LPP anticorrosion coating and 5LPP insulation coating at PCNL.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Professional Experience (number of years): 10 experience with coating Project within Oil & Gas industry.
Experience in multilayer anticorrosion system (3LPP) and multilayer insulation system (5LPP).
Certification: Certified as per ACQPA, NACE Level 1 or 2 or Frosio.
Quality Control experience is required. Experience on West African yards a plus.
The ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company.
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.
